Rigged and lifted by our own people
We invested in our own crane trucks for the power utilities and heavy industries market. Our crews arrive with certified gear and the training to rig, lift and move your machine, self-sufficient on site. The safe delivery of your machine matters as much to us as the safe return of our crews.

Know the mass
The machine’s nameplate or manual gives its mass. Tell us that, where its lifting points are, and send photos of it and the way out.
Sling angles matter
The more the sling legs spread, the more each one takes: at 60° to the vertical, each leg of a two-leg sling takes the whole load. The sling check does the sums.
Too big for a crane truck?
Then it moves as an abnormal load, on one of our gooseneck lowbeds or step decks, with a risk analysis and the permits arranged.
Where we operate
Our depot is at 69–71 Barlow Road, Jupiter, Germiston, where lifting capacities under our direct control range from 1 to 50 tons. Our crane trucks and crews come to your plant.

Call 011 873 4786What do your rigging crews do?
They rig your machine with certified slings and shackles, lift it with our own crane truck, load and strap it, move it and set it down at the new site. Our crews are trained in operations, rigging, safety, risk management, supervision, firefighting, and first aid levels 1 and 2.
Do you use your own crane trucks?
Yes. When we went into the power utilities and heavy industries market, some 15 years ago, our own crane trucks became an essential investment. It means our crews are self-sufficient on site.
Is your rigging gear certified?
Fully, right down to the last sling and D-shackle. In South Africa, every sling and shackle must be marked with its safe working load and examined by a competent person at least every three months (Driven Machinery Regulations, 2015).
How heavy a machine can you lift?
It depends on the machine, how far the crane has to reach and the access. At our Germiston depot, lifting capacities under our direct control range from 1 to 50 tons. Tell us the mass and the site, and we work out the lift with you.
What does the sling angle have to do with it?
The more the legs spread, the more each one takes. Each leg of a two-leg sling takes the load ÷ (2 × the cosine of its angle to the vertical): at 30°, 0.58 times the load; at 60°, the whole load. Over 60° (120° between the legs), don’t lift. The sling check on this page does the sums.
Why count only two legs on a four-leg sling?
On a rigid load the legs are rarely exactly the same length, so two of them can end up taking most of the weight while the others only balance it. Standards such as Australia’s rate multi-leg slings on two legs for that reason, and the sling check does the same.
What if it’s too big for a crane truck?
Then it moves as an abnormal load, on one of our gooseneck lowbeds or step decks, with a risk analysis, the permits through each province and police escorts where they’re needed.
Do you have forklifts and reach stackers too?
Yes: forklifts and reach stackers from 1.5 to 45 tons, with an operator, for the short, medium or long term, brought to site on our own rollback and lowbed equipment.
What do you need from me?
The machine’s mass (its nameplate or manual), its lifting points and size, photos of it and the way out, both addresses and the dates. If it’s inside or on an upper floor, the door sizes and the height above it.
How much does it cost?
Every lift is different, so we don’t publish prices. Answer the seven short questions in the quote form, add the sling check if you like, and we come back with a quote.
Tell us what needs to move.
Seven short questions, plus the sling check if you like. No prices online, just a quote on your actual lift.
